Crappie: Crappie fishing is still good. Fished several days ago with Andrew Marks and his 9 year old son Drew from Pensacola, Florida. We finished early with a limit of 60 keeper crappie at 1:30. All of our fish came from shooting docks with Creme Lure Company's little fishie on a 1/24 oz. jig head. We were out again today shooting docks with Ron & Lori Garland from Hennepin, Illinois. We had another great day and finished with another early limit. Most of our fish are coming from under docks with six feet of water or more and the fish were holding close to the bottom. Best colors for us have been Yellow & Black and White with a red tail. The blue gill fishing is also wide open it is just a matter of how many you want to clean. We are catching the blue gill and shell cracker in shallow water on small jigs tipped with mill worms. So if your interested in an outstanding crappie or blue gill and shell cracker trip give us a call this type of fishing should continue for a couple of more weeks. Please keep our troops as well as our storm victims in your prayers. Butch & Harry |
